3. Thermal Print Head Care & Maintenance
To ensure the best print quality and maximize the life of the thermal print head, please follow these maintenance guidelines:
Regular Cleaning
-
- Clean the print head regularly using medical-grade Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA 90% or higher) and a soft cotton swab or lint-free cloth.
-
- Clean the print head after every 30 minutes of continuous printing, or more frequently in dusty environments.
-
- Allow the alcohol to dry completely before switching the printer back on.
Protect from Dust
-
- Keep the printer in a clean, dry, and dust-free environment.
-
- Close the printer cover properly when not in use.
-
- Prevent dust, paper particles, adhesive residue, and other foreign materials from entering the printer.
Use Recommended Media
-
- Use only high-quality Direct Thermal (DT) labels or thermal receipt paper recommended for your printer.
-
- Low-quality media may leave residue on the print head, resulting in poor print quality and reduced print head life.
Avoid Physical Damage
-
- Never use sharp objects, metal tools, or abrasive materials to clean the print head.
-
- Do not touch the print head directly with your fingers, as oils and contaminants can reduce printing performance.
-
- Do not print if labels or paper are jammed inside the printer.
Proper Usage
-
- Avoid operating the printer in excessively hot, humid, or dusty environments.
-
- Ensure the media is loaded correctly to prevent unnecessary friction on the print head.
-
- Switch off the printer before performing any cleaning or maintenance.
Important: Failure to perform regular maintenance or damage caused by dust, adhesive residue, improper cleaning methods, poor-quality media, misuse, or physical damage is not covered under the Print Head Warranty.
3. Thermal Printer Print Head Warranty
